How to Help
Foster - Care for a bundle of joy until we find it a home.
Fostering saves lives! When there are homeless cats/kittens/dogs/puppies, the need for foster volunteers is tremendous. If you have room in your home and your heart to provide a temporary safe home, care and love to a pet in need, please fill out a foster application form to be on ARF's list of foster volunteers. ARF will help you get set up to care for these pets in need until they can be adopted to a forever home locally or transferred to a shelter for adoption. Donate
Financial donations are needed to keep ARF operating the programs and to build and operate the planned rescue shelter in Grangeville. Without our generous donors ARF could not help animals in our communities and the people who own and love them. While financial donations to help support ARF are greatly appreciated, donations of pet food and supplies for the pet food pantry are needed as well as donations to the ARF Resale Store. Please check ARF's wish list on chewy.com for items that can be used for animals in need, such as food, cat litter, pet beds, flea medicine, etc.

Animals in need can always use pet food, cat litter, pet beds, flea medicine, etc. These items support our TNVR Clinics, Transfers, and Foster programs.

Volunteer
ARF needs your time and talent to be all we can be for our community and its animals. Without volunteers, ARF would not exist.
If you’re organized, detail-oriented, or simply ready to lend a hand, we’re always looking for volunteers to help ARF operate our programs and work at our fundraising events. Volunteers help with the Pet Food Pantry that serves low-income pet owners in Idaho and Lewis Counties, help at the ARF Resale Store, bake goodies and make Christmas wreaths, help at the annual fundraising events, write grants, help with microchip and vaccine clinics, walk dogs, feed kittens, and help with data entry to keep our programs operating.
If you want to work with the animals, ARF will have a need for you when the shelter is built and until then, help with foster animals to socialize, exercise and feed them or volunteer at TNVR events. We need volunteers to transfer animals to shelters in McCall, Spokane, and Boise areas.
